"I'm So SHOCKED By The Number Of Quality Franchise Candidates Missing Out....
The Information Below Is CRITICAL To Your Understanding Of The Franchise Review Process, And Having The RIGHT Consultant....

From the desk of: 5 Year Consulting Veteran

Dear Friend,

You landed here because you are trying to determine if using a franchise consultant or a franchise broker is the way to go for your business search.  Of course, being a franchise consultant myself, and this is obviously somewhat self-serving - I will tell that using a franchise consultant in today's whacky marketplace is a must.

Why?  There are more choices than ever and there really is an art to finding the right franchise for you.  On top of that, there is a method to the franchise review process that 99% of candidates completely misunderstand.

You have likely encountered a franchise consultant or broker along the way, and you wonder if the service is legitimate, and is the person helping you truly keeping your best interests at heart?

All logical questions my friend.  Let us help you sort this out - and determine if a franchise consulting service is for you:

Consideration #1:  Franchising in General

You likely already know the benefits of investing in a franchise (proven system, brand recognition, high success rate and low failure rate compared to independent startup, etc.).

If you are considering a franchise - there are plenty of resources to complete your education on why it makes sense - I will not go into that here.

Consideration #2:  Are YOU Right for a Franchise?

This is the big one and where most franchise candidates miss the mark.  A franchise actually is an optimal solution for many individuals seeking a business.  You must be willing to follow a system and follow directions given to you.

A key point to remember - Franchises are AWARDED - NOT SOLD.  This leads to the most significant element that 83% of candidates screw up - it is their MINDSET.

It is true that if you move forward with a franchise, should one be awarded to you, then yes you will be investing a significant amount of YOUR money.  Hence - many candidates approach the review process with an ATTITUDE of "prove to me that I can make $X in 30 days and replace my income in that timeframe and you Mr. Franchise company will do it all for me since it was my money to begin with!".

Can you see the problem here?  Sure - you have an absolute right to make sure your dollars are invested wisely.  My point here is the MINDSET during the process.  It must be approached as a process and as a partnership - just like a job search...they are looking at you as much as you are looking at them.

Another key point to remember - franchise companies want to deal with decision makers, not tire kickers.  Yes you need to get information before making a decision, and hence, a process to follow to get that information (are you seeing the pattern here?).

Last point to determine if you are right for a franchise - and this is the most misunderstood point - a franchise AND your consultant must know your financial statement.  One of the key reasons for business failure is lack of capitalization.  This is a key reason why franchises have a success rate - a solid franchise will make sure a candidate is solid financially VERY EARLY in the process.

Consideration #3:  The Consultant- Who is the Best One for Me and my MINDSET?

The right franchise consultant will actually help you with the Mindset portion of your search.  In the end, the right consultant will actually spend time getting to know you, understand your goals, why you want to have your own business, etc.

The right franchise consultant will help you from beginning to end - and coach you along the way so that you have the highest likelihood of being awarded the franchise of your choice.

And lastly, the franchise consultant will need your financial statement early in the process so they can truly find the best match for you.  Quite frankly, if you are not willing to divulge your financial statement, are you really saying that you are just curious about all of this?  Why not get through that portion once, and spend your time on the select few companies that you are qualified to consider, are available in your area, and have the highest probability of meeting your goals.

Make sure that your franchise consultant has a vast portfolio of companies for you to consider, as well as quality options that are not franchise related.  The truly seasoned consultant has taken the time to review a series of low investment options ($500 to $2000) that are legitimate to consider. This way you know that the consultant is truly looking out for your interest, instead of just a hefty commission.

Your consultant also should not bad mouth a franchise company you are considering (aka - they will not be paid since you are looking on your own so they talk you out of it).  The seasoned consultant will however present factual information for you to consider, and still help you in your process.

An Efficient Way To Review a Franchise!

If you have been asking for information on franchise companies - several things could be happening.  You are getting strange phone calls from companies that you did not request (e.g. the website sold your name - shame on them!), you are not getting any phone calls from those you think are worthy of you, or your phone is ringing off the hook and you cannot keep track of it all.

If you truly would like to find the right business - then I hope you have found this information to be helpful, and straightforward.  We work with those individuals who are SERIOUS about a business - regardless of the investment level.  This has been written in a direct way for a reason - we want to help those who will follow the right process to make an informed decision.

Get that phone ringing with the right franchise companies on the other end of the phone.
